Wick Trimmer

$18

Trimming the candle wick preserves the life and quality of the candle by helping prevent black smoke, soot gathering on the inside of the vessel, and the flame from becoming too high.

Trim the candle wick to 1/4" prior to each burn for best results.

  • Coconut apricot wax, made with coconut, apricot, and a small amount of highly refined food-grade paraffin.

CASSITY BROWN,
OWNER + CANDLEMAKER

I come from a family of small business owners and have watched the success + resilience of entrepreneurship my whole life.

I was inspired to start St. Brown & Co. in part by the desire to have my own brand, and in part by divine intervention when the idea for candles popped into my head just as I was falling asleep on October 24, 2020. I had an idea of the brand I wanted to create for quite some time—a classic, timeless, luxurious business with black and white branding. It wasn’t until that night that I discovered that brand would be a candle business.

I bought basic candle making supplies to see if I even liked candle making. My first sweet pea mason jar candle was a success. Time to build the brand.

INSPIRATION BEHIND THE BRAND

The name St. Brown & Co. was inspired by St. John Knits and Tiffany & Co., two luxury American heritage brands that I really admire.

Having interned with St. John Knits twice in college, I was able to see the entire business process from design conception and manufacturing to marketing and distribution.

The intricate construction of a St. John knit jacket and design of Tiffany & Co. jewelry is truly unparalleled, and I wanted to include aspects of those brands into my own brand name.
